¡¡¡¡Pultruded fiberglass structural shapes, i.e. pultruded FRP profiles, are made from fiberglass rovings, continuous strand mat and surface mat which are impregnated with a liquid resin mixture (containing resin, fillers and specialized additives), pulled through the die by a continuous pulling device and heat-formed in die.

¡¡¡¡Their tensile strength is higher than that of common steels, while the resin-rich surface layer provides for good corrosion resistance. Therefore, these profiles prove to be a best alternative to steels in corrosive environment and have found wider and wider application.
