Manufacturing process
Hand lay up process is known as contact molding process, which uses glass fiber roving woven roving, chopped strand mat, surface mat as reinforced materials, and uses unsaturated polyester resins, vinyl resins, epoxy as matrix material. Alternatively cast glass fiber and resin into the molding and the gelation, or hardening, of the resin forms glass steel products.

Material properties
(1) Not restricted to product size and shape which is applicable to a small number, wide in variety, simple shape or large products;
(2) Could add reinforced materials to different position of the product according to the product design. Good flexibility.
(3) resin matrix and reinforcing materials can be mixed and perform optimization grouping; also can be mixed with other materials (such as foam, balsa wood, honeycomb, metal, etc.) into composites.
(4) The colored gel coat layer can be added to obtain a variety of smooth surfaces.

Application
Hand lay glass steel products are widely used in the industry of petroleum, chemical, electric power, transportation, electrical, construction, municipal engineering.
